Clarification

I probably should clarify a few things from my last post American Fascists. Woah, don’t everyone complain at once…

Honestly? I’ve got more to say on the subject. I won’t be long. Those who know me or have seen my F.A.Q.‘s, one frequently asked question, in particular. About God and whether I believe in one, could take my impressions of the book, or the book itself (save that one quote stipulating “we’re Christian,” of course) as anti-Christian or anti-belief in God. And while I make my views known, I’m not anti anything. Continue reading Clarification

American Fascists Book Jacket

In previous attempts at writing for this blog, I felt I’m over thinking the words I write and thus needlessly complicating shit. Given this, it is now my objective to just type and pretty much leave be what results. In a less “forced” fashion…

So with that said, in what might seem like a step or two backwards, I’m going to proceed with what I set out to do regardless. But would it be better to deny myself the memories of how I acted, thought and felt? And yet an even better question being why should I allow the “practice” I once was a willing participant in to continue to “eat” at my conscience (emphasis added for, well emphasis)? Guilt? Shame? Sadness? Hypocrisy? While all valid and oddly relevant, one very important fact remains. Continue reading Understanding Acceptance

The Truth Will Set You Free

I happened to witness something on the internet that frankly put me into a strange state of wonder. A “movie” called Zeitgeist. A collection of ideas “chronicling” the plausibility of an unsettling “coming of age.”

Sure it may be hard to swallow. Here I am, almost a full 48 hours later and no closer to knowing how to take the culmination of the ideas shared. Not so much because I’m completely convinced by the manner in which the “film” was presented, per se. Rather the fact that it was so absorbing. And so seemingly believable.
