Happy Holidays

I’ve seen my share of counter productive behavior this holiday season. On TV, especially. I’m referring to the greatly misplaced act when people insist on being wished a “Merry Christmas,” rather than the more appropriate “Happy Holidays.”

Think about it, whether intentional or not, wishing others a “Merry Christmas” may make one feel recognized, sure, but what about those who don’t regard the same traditions as “you?” And could possibly feel, uncomfortable or slighted by such a salutation? Continue reading Happy Holidays

Clarification

I probably should clarify a few things from my last post American Fascists. Woah, don’t everyone complain at once…

Honestly? I’ve got more to say on the subject. I won’t be long. Those who know me or have seen my F.A.Q.‘s, one frequently asked question, in particular. About God and whether I believe in one, could take my impressions of the book, or the book itself (save that one quote stipulating “we’re Christian,” of course) as anti-Christian or anti-belief in God. In previous attempts at writing for this blog, I felt I’m over thinking the words I write and thus needlessly complicating shit. Given this, it is now my objective to just type and pretty much leave be what results. In a less “forced” fashion…
