I guess we will see, eh?

With the co-founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, now behind bars — right where an absurd amount of people think he belongs (take last night, when David Letterman spoke his name in his monologue, it received a chorus of boo’s, only to be equalled a little later by mention of Sarah Palin’s name, which says everything) — and, shockingly, having his bail denied (where’s he seriously going to run to?), context and acceptance of reality have never been more needed.

Fact is, he turned himself in. I wonder if people are asking themselves why that might be? Here’s a thought. Could it be there is no better way for him to demonstrate the power of people’s need to see the truth? As Jesus H Chris so poignantly stated a week ago Monday, “[i]f you are still fool enough to believe this system doesn’t reek like fetid plop, maybe these documents will help you see the light.” Though, personally, I’m not so optimistic people will take the initiative.

It has been said previously, if Assange is arrested or assassinated, the leaks will continue. Meaning WikiLeaks is bigger than any one person. Including Julian Assange.

I guess we will see, eh?

CNN Strikes Again

Last night I tuned into CNN’s Election coverage. And believe me, no-one is more sorry than I. I should have known better. Totally my fault, I know.

A very small minded Republican, I assume, sitting on their “panel” actually told the audience if Obama wins minorities no longer have any excuses. Wow, what a relief, I feel so vindicated. All it took was a single Black man to be elected as President of the United States for an entire planet to drop their small-minded, selfish tendencies? What took so bloody long?

“Fucking goof…”

Interesting Times Are ‘Underfoot’

In the past couple of days, quite possibly yesterday, Michael Moore released his latest film, Slackers United, for free on the internet. And I parked myself in front of my computer and watched it last evening. I have to give the man props for this gesture. Thank you kindly, Mike.

And I was left a number of strong impressions. A few good, mostly bad…

A Fascist Police State

Now with the same old stupidity underway this week in Denver, I’ve turned to DemocracyNow.org‘s coverage of the DNC. Aptly entitled “Breaking With Convention.” I say “aptly” simply because Amy & Co. are very busy reporting the other side. You’ll never find ANY of the stories featured there, since Monday at least, on mainstream television. And that does, in fact shatter the practice of modern journalism. Typical! Do yourself a favor and check it out…

Now I should state, before next week rolls around and it’s the Republican’s turn, I don’t think any better of the Republicans. Actually my thoughts concerning a “Neo-Conservative’s” racist, sexist and homophobic idea of “democracy” is worse. A lot worse.

But, to be fair both parties are contributing to the death of civilization and this planet in a shockingly similar way…
