Keeping Them Honest?

Well it’s been a few days since I managed to witness a CNN television news anchor interview an employee of the US Food Safety and Inspection Service. Regarding a story the Humane Society broke in late January. And I’m not feeling a bit better about what I saw.

An “Undercover Investigation Reveals Rampant Animal Cruelty at California Slaughter Plant,” which showed “downed dairy cattle” at, or presumably entering the Westland Meat Co. slaughter house killing floor by means of a forklift pushing them. Determination

I briefly visited this in the first “edition” of this site. Back in the day. Before it was a blog. And when I was rooting around in my hard drive, I relocated it. Bam!

“How can he declare his existence as ‘unbounded’ when he uses a wheelchair as his only means of mobility?” I can hear it now. A tad shorter in length. With a slightly more urgent tone. “What the fuck? Is he serious?”

Dangler To The Rescue

So I’ve finally had an opportunity to “test” my site in a full gamut of web browsers. And I’m happy to report the largest display issues have been resolved across the board. Is it perfect? No. I still have some “tweeking” to do, but I’m feeling a lot better about what any one visitor might see. Now I know what to expect. Thanks yet again to the infamous Derk Dangler…

I’ve taken my fair shot at Microsoft over Internet Explorer. But I’ve tried, really hard to keep it civilized. Eric raises a valid point;

“If you think web development is horrible now, how about a future where there literally are entirely different browsers to support? Or a future where the open web is largely shriveled and dead thanks to wide-scale abandonment by the Windows community?” Continue reading Dangler To The Rescue
