Quadriplegia

Something about the label “quadriplegic” and being considered a “quad” was something that never felt right. Not for any other reason than I felt it failed to give my ability proper description. In terms of I how used to view the term as a description of a disability more than anything.

When I think of a person who suffers from quadriplegia I tend to picture people I’ve shared time with in rehab. Barack “Punk Rock” Obama?

I had to look at this much more than once. More than twice. A third didn’t hurt. But I’m not one bit closer to understanding it. Truly bizarre…

But be that as it may I found myself stopping on swimming while searching for something to watch as I wound down. I thought why not see if Phelps was competing and if he was I’d be up to witness what he’d do next. I had nothing better to do… Continue reading Would You Look At That, I Am Human

Up To The Task?

Apparently Exxon Mobil made $11.68 billion last quarter! And a 7% profit margin is, not only obscene, but an act that justifies punishment by taxation, if I’m to take Barack Obama’s words seriously.

But, Mr. Obama isn’t what you’re telling people you’re going to do and what you can actually do once elected a gross “conflict of interest?” Seems to me that the change you’re suggesting isn’t even possible once the oath of office is taken. Am I wrong? Aren’t all company’s accountable to their shareholders? And providing profit is, not just the main, but the sole impetus? Continue reading Up To The Task?
