Paging Dr. Gupta

Last week Elizabeth Cohen, on CNN’s American Morning spoke about a newly released study comparing the effectiveness of three different diets–a low fat diet, the Mediterranean diet and a low-carb diet–and with results in hand, quite surprisingly gawked at the findings. I’m sure if she went further into specifics of said study, it would tell quite a different story. But I digress…

The study followed a bunch of people over a course of a two year period and tracked their weight-loss. I’m not sure about any specifics of the study, I’m too lazy and I don’t really care to cite it. But I have to mention this study was conducted by a group with a stake in the findings. And, rather shockingly the findings favored this group.

Not my point… Continue reading Paging Dr. Gupta

A Means To An End

By no means has my realization–mentioned in my post “Here I Go… Thinking Again…“–changed or will it change my outlook on dogs, or my love for Freddy.

The current state of canines, among a ton of other animals we use for companionship or even “sustenance,” is something we created through domestication and selective breeding. Isn’t it a positive sign when a given piece of literature causes a person to actually think about what was “discussed?” I mean really grapple with the issues. By no means was this a casual read for me. I was challenged to contemplate certain aspects of my life and my justification of others. And I’ve come to realize a few foundations were flawed. Prescott Sheldon Bush

I was watching American Morning again this morning. I know, I like shit television. Why not go with the best?

Anyway they cut to the douche bag live from Israel talking out his ass, yet again. Likening his shit talk to a specific presidential wannabe’s (that isn’t a compliment) views to a certain American Senator, who I believe wished he’d talked to Hitler once they invaded Poland. Or some such bullshit. I’m not at all sure of the specifics of said event(s) and believe me I’m the last person to comment on this. But CNN somehow compared his all too familiar stupidity to Barack Obama saying he’d talk to Syria and Iran once elected. Blah, blah, blah… Continue reading Prescott Sheldon Bush
