Become A Sustainer

I’ve been a ZNet sustainer since late last year? And I’m more than willing to admit I’m quite impressed with what I receive from my modest monthly contribution.

Honestly I don’t use my “member privileges” anywhere near its potential. I have yet to set up my “ZSpace Page.” I need to get on that. But what I do find most valuable is receiving “nightly sustainer commentary” in my email inbox. Granted it takes, at least, a $1 monthly contribution to be eligible for that “feature.” So I urge anyone who can afford to part with $12 a year to become a sustainer.

Because every so often you get little gems not unlike the one I received this morning… Continue reading Become A Sustainer

Here At Home

With so much of both the Canadian and American media attention focusing on the American Presidential election we better not forget to think of matters here at home. We have an election for Prime Minister of Canada on October 14? I think.

Of course when I wrote “we better not forget” I really meant “I better not forget.” Can you blame me (I wasn’t really asking)? I’m a little more concerned about a very conservative, very small minded Governor of Alaska being just a step away from the American Presidency. Lets just say I’m a little worried.

And be that as it may letting it consume me isn’t an option with Steven Harper looking for a “majority government.” Continue reading Here At Home

Much More Fulfilled

Emotions surrounding today are compounded, two fold. The first, and rather obvious, is the attack on The World Trade Center, September 11th, 2001. Which, I’m sure, will receive it’s fair share of misguided coverage in the media today.

And of course events of that morning had a lot to do with the emotions I currently feel. What with America still as arrogant, if not more, than September 10th, 2001. The harder they fight, what they deem as threats to their homeland and their “sovereignty,” the less relevant its government becomes. And the less “safe” our global community grows. In fact it’s much too ironic for even me to appreciate. So I’ll leave it there.

But ever more applicable to me, at least, is the second and more personal reason. It started a little bit before that day, on the July 1st weekend… Continue reading Much More Fulfilled

Out Of Step

Ever get the feeling you’re the only one in the world with their head on “right?” Well, for me, today is just one of those days.

For the past few years I’ve been undergoing a rather aggressive regimen of a rather “traditional” therapy. And I just had a “dose” of that therapy. Anyway my therapist and I have been talking about a new avenue of therapy her and her husband have recently been exploring. Last week she was supposed to email me with further details regarding it, in the form of a web address I assume, but, since then, she has informed me they have been looking at different “sources” for the “technique.”

Honestly I’m not entirely sure of what she is looking at or for that matter hoping to accomplish. But I’m always open to looking at variety, especially where my therapy is concerned. If it makes sense to me.. Continue reading Out Of Step
