Show of Absurdity

I wrote a piece back on April 1st, titled “‘Last Bastion of Dead-End Bushism’?,” where I spoke of the Canadian government’s decision to ban the outspoken British lawmaker, George Galloway, from entering the country for a speaking tour.

In a similar show of absurdity, it seems our government is at it again, this time with Honduras. I’m, of course, speaking to my government’s concern over the “leftward shift in the region” and it’s support to thwart it. Today’s bit of insight was brought to me via an email from Z Nightly Commentaries and Yves Engler‘s piece Canada & Honduras.

Read it and have a nice day…

Why Can’t We?

Sadly, this was inevitable. UK Police Face ‘Waterboard’ Claim;

“[O]fficers had allegedly used brutal techniques, including forcing suspects’ heads into buckets of water to induce the sensation of being drowned…”

And, as inevitable as this was, I’ll assume the next step, after the rampant use of torture by the US, being this, was unavoidable. If they can do it, why can’t we?
