There I sat this morning occupying my time a couple of ways. The first, I’m going to assume you possess enough wit to know, but the second was spent listening to an interview between John Roberts and Fred Thompson on American Morning.
John asked Fred if questioning Governor Sarah Palin’s views and experience would be an encouraged part of the RNC. Not to give John Roberts anything he doesn’t deserve, but I, for one thought that was a crafty position for him to take. What with the seeming positions of current Republican Administration resembling a verging Totalitarian Police State rather than a well founded democracy and questions tend not to be looked on favorably within fascism. To which Mr. Thompson, quite predictably, responded “of course.”Â
But what Right Fred Said next made me cease. And I couldn’t go anymore…
I’m going to quote him as closely as I recall, he said “it’s not like getting a new baby” referring to Palin emerging as a VP candidate and voters need to know what she’s about before they cast their decision. Which struck me as very odd.
He really expects people to think better of this person after she is introduced to the masses? I think he’d be a little more concerned with her being introduced to McCain…
