Maude Barlow, founder of the Blue Planet ProjectÂ mentioned Pickens and his scooping up water rights as a first step in wanting to build a pipeline in attempts to privatize water andÂ line his pockets by holding our right to clean and accessible water hostage.Â She didn’t put it quite as bluntly as that.
